Match day in Berlin: Capital Baustoffe now digitalizes its logistics with Tourbosoft
Construction materials are now combined with software from the Berlin logistics experts at Tourbosoft. For Capital Baustoffe from Berlin-Tempelhof, digital processes and modern logistics are coming into the spotlight in order to live up to its own claim of providing the best advice and service to its customers. Stored on 23,000 sqm and supplied by an in-house fleet of 12 trucks, customers of the Hagebau shareholder can expect an extensive product portfolio and now benefit from digitalized logistics.
Together with Tourbosoft as a partner, the next step towards digitalization is thus imminent. Several milestones will be reached in this cooperative project. It will start with the digital support of the disposition processes. By implementing the tour planning software Tourbo.route, routes at Capital Baustoffe can be planned and optimized automatically in the future. This leads not only to improved fleet utilization and efficient route planning in scheduling, but also to advantages for all participants in the added value chain. Through the additional use of other Tourbosoft software modules, drivers benefit from real-time navigation (Tourbo.board), the sales department from a digitally mapped delivery process (Tourbo.view) and Capital's customers from precise notification and modern customer service (Tourbo.avis).
To further increase the efficiency of the warehouse system, Capital Baustoffe will introduce Tourbo.store as a warehouse management and control system. At the Tempelhof site, process flows can thus be simplified, transparently displayed and digitally supported not only in terms of route planning, but also warehouse processes.
On joint training days, the use of the modules is trained together with the users, specific software requirements are implemented and, in addition, advice is given with regard to efficient process design. Through customized and coordinated software modules, Capital Baustoffe is digitally positioning itself for the future and can offer its customers the service they expect.
