With 58 locations in 18 countries, the JAF Group is Central Europe's leading wholesaler of wood and wood-based materials. The company has been using our warehouse management and control system Tourbo.store at both of its locations in Stockerau (A) for several years. With the integration of the semi-automatic stacker, another big step in the field of digitization has now been taken after the commissioning of a fully automatic panel storage system more than two years ago.

This semi-automatic narrow aisle truck is controlled entirely from Tourbo.store. The forklift truck receives its drive command via the Tourbo.store WebApp (client of Tourbo.store on Android MDE devices). This is sent as soon as the user selects a storage compartment during picking or storage. Picking takes place within the orders to be picked in a route-optimized manner. For this purpose, the positins of an order are sorted on the MDE device according to the removal compartments. Order picking can thus be carried out with as little effort as possible and unnecessary moving in the aisles and empty runs are minimized.
